Circadian lighting systems mimic a 24-hour day and night cycle that is meant to increase or decrease the melanotic responses within a human’s circadian rhythm (or, internal clock). These types of lighting control systems independently control the intensity and color tunning of the light source to mimic the sun’s progression from dawn to dusk. Warmer CCTs are used to represent early daylight hours (2700K-3500K) and cooler CCTs (4000K-6500K) are used at peak daylighting hours to decrease melatonin production for increased alertness, cognitive function, and productivity.
Modular International’s Tunable White modules are offered in 2700K-6500K covering the full circadian spectrum with CRI rates of 96+ at 2700K, 97+ at 3500K and 94-90+ at 6500K. These Tunable White modules meet and exceed industry averages for lm/w efficiencies across a wide range of delivered lumen and wattage packages in 70mm and 90mm diameters.
When integrated into Modular Multiples® fixtures, Tunable White modules offer 466,000+ possible product combinations allowing specifiers to select from 6 different wattages, 72 delivered lumens outputs at 90+ CRI, 10 field changeable beam angles, and 5 dimming protocols with universal voltage available. Tunable White modules yield a >55,000-hour lumen maintenance lifespan and run at nominal milliamperages and below.
Modular International’s Tunable White modules are offered in either a double gimbal ring assembly (with optional locking mechanisms) or a yoke mounted installation with both options delivering 45 degrees of adjustability and 360 degrees of rotation. Standard and customizable shielding options for glare control and wall washing are also available and support up to two 1/8-inch-thick filter media.
