Our Home is in Pittsburgh
As you continue to enjoy the summer in Pittsburgh, we want you to be on the lookout for Modular in the wild! Pittsburgh is Modular’s home, so naturally we have many instillations across the city.
If you find yourself checking in for the evening at the Renaissance Hotel, be sure to look up on your way in. Our custom linears will be there to light the way inside the 100+ year old marquee.
If you’re feeling studios and end up at Frick Art and History Center, you will see our custom cast bronze exterior wall sconces and matching interior pendants.
While you’re in the mood to learn, check out our custom wall sconces and matching pendant fixtures at Point Park University.
Maybe you’re looking to take a stroll and wind up in Frankie Pace Park. Modular has crafted six 16-foot-tall 316 marine grade stainless steel Totems that weigh over a ton each! There are three different styles of these Totems all with incorporated lighting elements, two of which offer operable tables that spin 360 degrees around the fixtures for ADA accessibility.
As you wrap up a busy day in Pittsburgh and head to PNC Park for an evening baseball game, you will see Modular’s reproductions of historically lost pylon fixtures on the three Sister Bridges. Modular International’s approach to this project involved custom engineering to replicate the aesthetics, performance and heritage of these pylon fixtures. Fabricated from 316 marine grade stainless steel with a baked black PPG coating and eight custom designed LED boards, these pylon fixtures light the way in the City of Bridges.
As we said before, our home is in Pittsburgh and so is our hard work. Don’t forget to snap a picture next to some Modular fixtures and tag us on social media!
